I keep hearing that the Humane Society will be taking over the Pet Rescue location. Is this true? What is the procedure when a no kill shelter merges with one that euthanizes? What will happen to the animals on the property that still need homes? I'm hoping someone from Pet Rescue will be able to provide answers about what's happening.

Humane Society/AAP is merging with Pet Rescue. This is a wonderful thing. Both are no-kill shelters. This has been verified.

Hello! I heard the very sad story on the news today. I wanted to see if there was anything at all that we could all do to prevent this sanctuary from closing. It seems like a beautiful place and if there's anything my husband and I could do, we are ready. Is it just a money issue or are other factors in play?? Is it too late to raise money through some kind of charity event or donations? Is the merger with the humane society final or can we fix this together??? who is with me Good luck! El

www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=164169851916&v=wall&ref=tsEl, you are correct, there is more to this than what is being said. Please go to the facebook page I posted above. Thank you for caring about saving this sanctuary. Humane Society does not advocate sanctuaries which is what is mostly needed. Helping animals, saving animals, allowing unwanted animals who are living on the street having a place to go and call home. That is what this sanctuary has been about. That is why it is so important that this continues on............
